General Practitioners

GPs are your first point of call when it comes to any health issues. General Practitioners can help you with a very wide variety of health issues, such as:

Health Assessment

Health Assesments

Completed by a nurse and reviewed by a GP, Health Assessments provide the following Government Funded Health Checks:

  • 45-49 year olds Health Assessments – a one off assessment that includes height & weight measurements, blood pressure check, urinalysis, ECG, diabetes screening, dietary & exercise advice, smoking & alcohol advice
  • 75 year olds and over Health Assessments – yearly assessment that includes height & weight measurements, blood pressure check, urinalysis, ECG, dietary & exercise advice, falls risk assessment, cognition assessment, assistance within home
  • Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islanders – yearly assessment that includes height & weight measurements, blood pressure check, urinalysis, ECG, diabetes screening, dietary & exercise advice, smoking & alcohol advice
